As soon as you feel a cold coming up, start taking vitamine C, 1000 mg a day, this will help you to prevent getting a bronchitis, even if you're asthmatic. I'm asthmatic and I use this remedy always, it usualy works for me.

Talk to your doctor. My daughter's asthma is triggered by illnesses... any cold, ear infection, etc gives her an attack. If it is diagnosed as asthma, your doctor will give you the medications you need to help it.

Home remedies that I try when my daughter is ill include steam (close the bathroom door, turn the shower on hot, and just sit in the room for a few minutes breathing in the steam), keeping her head raised when she sleeps (multiple pillows or putting a board under the mattress to keep her head raised), sometimes even an OTC cough medicine like Delsym can improve matters with her.

Really, you need to see a doctor. If it's asthma, it can be controlled and make your life much easier.

first see your doctor and get on a treatment plan. this will help you maintain control of your asthma and may lessen the severity of future attacks. if you are a coffee drinker, you've probably already noticed that with your first couple hot sips of java that your bronchial tubes seem to open up and breathing becomes easier. when going outside in the cold wear a loose neck scarf lightly wrapped over you nose and mouth and inhale with your nose as this warms the air before it gets into your lungs and then exhale through your mouth.

First thing I am not a doctor, but my daughter goes through this a lot. Her doctor labelled her as having "reactive airway disease" and said that any virus that she catches irritates her airways causing asthma-like symptoms. They treat her with asthma medications. I would talk to my family doc asap as they can only treat you if they know what is happening.

Maybe you're asthmatic? Go have a check up. Because my cousin have the same problem and when we took him to the doctor, we found out he was asthmatic thats why he had breathing problems.

my advice: see a doctor it will make you feel better.

Cold air and cold food (like ice cream) can trigger asthma.
Talk to your doctor, asthma is treatable, but becomes worse if neglected.
