I don't know but i do know that as more and better sugar substitutes have been invented the population gets fatter and fatter and the incidence of diabetes goes up. So i don't think it helps in the big picture. Might help some diabetics to have some pleasure of sweet taste without whacking their blood sugar. That's about it.

None - they are substitutes for sugar. I like Splenda.
