Sometimes it is a purely psychological matter. Often, food is used as a comfort tool, especially in stressful situations. If you can distract yourself for 15 minutes (go on a walk, play a game, read a magazine...) the craving should go away. If it doesn't, it may be that you actually are still hungry. In that case, something substantial like almonds or fruit is the best way to go.

Well specifically, eating m-n-m's will trick your body into feeling full. The sugar content in food gives your body a false sense of the "full" feeling. Your body will absorb the sugar mistaking it for good carb. energy making you feel full. (Sugar contains what they call "empty" carbs.) Drinking a lot of water also fills your stomach making your body think it is full of food. the combination of the too will effectively suppress your appetite but will leave you malnourished in the long run. Stress will also take your mind off of the hunger cravings.

IT's called craving, and I crave a lot!!!!!!!!
Well, usually I eat something light slowly. A doctor in a health show once said eating slowly can prevent craving for more.
We can play a video game or any game that keeps our attention to it and not food. Not sports, of course, because we're full.
We also tend to TALK!!!!!!!! Talking can keep our minds off the food.

SEX is usually better during this times. It somehow helps in digestion and at the same time satisfy your cravings for the moment.
