Cats and Dogs are carnivores (meat eaters) Should they suffer because of their owners beliefs. Are they gonna freak if their cat kills a mouse ?

I've been vegetarian for 20 years and I know LOTS of other veggies. Not a one of 'em enforces their dietary restrictions onto their canine or feline companions. Responsible pet owners feed their pets the foods that are appropriate to the species. That means dogs and cats get meat or foods made with it.

You don't like the taste of any meat? My darling you have been eating poorly prepared meat if you think that. Meat isn't just cow, pig, and ham. Ever try duck, venison, rabbit, or turtle? Some good eats (as Alton Brown would say)

Hardly any vegetarians feed their pets a vegetarian diet. Those who do should not have pets. We already know they are carnivores...we are not as ignorant as you appear to be.

my hubby and i are both vegetarians but our dog will only eat chicken. we let him have it because he shouldn't have to be a vegetarian just because we are. we don't avoid meat for any moral or ethical reasons though, just neither of us likes the taste. other vegetarians might feel differently.

Some people do try to force their animals (cats, worst of all) to become vegitarian. Classed as animal cruality as far as i can see! They are even less suited to it than we are and it is very unhealthy!

I'm vegan. But my babies still get their meaty dog and cat food. Where they are concerned, I do what the vet says.
