Tired. Irritiable. Thirsty. You should see an physician preferbaly an endocrinologist to make sure your high glucose is not causing other problems like (kidney, lung, blood pressure problems).
Stay away from simple carbs, and refined sugars atleast until your sugar level returns to normal.

When my sugar was high, I would usually feel like I had the flu, all the time. Eventually, my body got used to the high sugars so I never noticed. The body will become accustomed to high glucose levels. It wasn't until my sugars were in the 30's (540-570 for you Americans :o) that I knew there was a problem.
As a result, however, I have lost vision in my right eye, and my kidneys don't work as well as they used to.
My grandmother didn't even know she had diabetes until one day she couldn't wake up, she kept falling asleep and was slurring her words. We took her to the ER and they tested her sugar and it was 99.5 (1791). They told us that had we brought her in just 5 minutes later, she would have died. She lapsed into a diabetic coma for 3 weeks, and everyone said she was a walking miracle. She is often used as an example of record high sugars in the Diabetes Education Courses they offer at the hospital.
The only thing I will say is test your sugars, and do it often.
Hope this helps, Good Luck to you.

when my blood sugar is the high, I feel like I have the flu. Drink lots for water and check your ketones. If the ketones are large, you need to call your Diabetes Doctor. You need to get on a good Carb diet for your Diabetes. Your Diabetes Doctor can hook you up with some diabetes classes. Good Luck and be Healthy! I wear an insulin pump and now I have good control on my diabetes, plus I check my blood sugars 6 times a day! Check out this insulin pump site. www.minimed.com

My son has had type diabetes for 5 years, when he has high sugars and i know everyone is different, but he gets very thirsty, quite agitated, and his ears go red, he feels lethargic, and you need to get that blood sugar down by exercise, but sometimes he dosnt have the energy , everybodies symptoms are different tho, so hard to say how each would feel.

When you say high diabetes I assume you mean a high blood sugar level? This condition is called hyperglycemia and the symptoms are:-
Polyphagia (frequently hungry) Blurred vision
Polyuria (frequently urinating) Fatigue
Polydipsia (frequently thirsty) Weight loss
Poor wound healing (cuts, scrapes, etc.)
Dry mouth
Dry or itchy skin
Impotence (male)
Recurrent infections such as vaginal yeast infections, groin rash, or external ear infections (swimmers ear)
So all in all they will feel pretty crap!

I'm a diabetic too, and the highest I've been has been 586. But usually when I'm high it's around the 200s. I usually feel very irritabe, tired, hungry, have a headache, restless and lazy at the same time...like I want to do something but I don't because I feel too lazy, and my vision is usually blurred.

hard question to answer because every one is different..you can feel fine one minute and the next be really down..you need to stay away from a lot of food..try healthy food and exercise...dont have many sweets..and try to stay calm..if you notice that your sugar is always that high maybe you should get another medication..Sometimes you feel light headed and dizzy..but the important thing is to stay calm
