i am a vegetarian, and although i will eat vegetables they are not my favourite foods. Has anybody got any ideas for fairly quick vegetarian meals that does not totally consist of vegetables?

steam some rice and mix it with your favorite veggies diced small, add a little garlic and tomato juice (just enough tom juice to add flavor. Mix in any kind of grated cheese you like. Cut the tops off of bell peppers and clean out the seeds and the membranes that run down the sides. Fill the peppers with the rice mixture and bake on 325 for about 15 minutes and then add a slice of your favorite cheese on top and pop it back in the oven long enough to melt the cheese.

I've been vegetarian for 17 years and i don't like vegetables that much. I get stuff that looks and tastes like meat from the freezer section of any big supermarket, in UK look for Quorn or Linda McCartney, in US look for Morningstar. Then cook and serve it like you would meat so you get meals like burger and chips, meatballs and spaghetti, sausage and mash etc. Basically you can have any meal that anyone else would have with the meat substitited with these products. It wasn't easy like that 17 years ago!

Rice and beans combined, they say, form the perfect protein.
So for quick and easy, open a can of beans (I always rinse the beans) and serve over a helping of minute rice. Slather on some relish or salasa for extra flavor.
