Say you were having a sleepover with a friend. You forgot another change of underwear a home. You borrow some of hers but she had had her period in them some years ago or wekks or whatever. If she has AIDS but doesn't realize it, and you wear her blood-stained underwear, can you get AIDS from her?

If the underwear have been adequately washed at least once, then no, because the actual blood cells and plasma have been washed away. The blood "stain" is just that, a color residue left behind from the blood, not the actual blood components that carry the virus. Personally, if my only choices were stained underwear or none, I'd prefer to go with none.

no, because the hiv virus cant survive in the environment it can survive only in actual body liquids, and you can get it only by exchanging those liquids. So even if underwear still had the dried blood stains on it, i am sure the chance of getting it would be very slim, but also since i am sure it was washed and no longer contains the, blood(at least i hope you wouldnt wear someone elses bloody underwear), the virus wouldnt survive and so you cant get it that way.

No, very doubtly, I don't know a lot about aids, but I do know that, the aids virus first of all is kind of shot once it is exsposed to air, so like the others said chances are they have been washed and I wouldn't worry about to be honest with you. But Good Luck, and next time just be sure to carry a pair along just in case you decide to stay over at a friends again!!

I don't think there is anything more disgusting than sharing underwear. i would go without before wearing someone else's. That is truly gross. Aids virus cannot live outside the body. It dies in the air soon after exposure to air. Did you really borrow her underwear? UGH!

If the panties where clean then the answer is NO. However if they were not clean and you have open sores then Yes you could contrat the virus. However don't worry so much about it. You are saying "IF" she has AIDS. Why do you think she does?
Also try not to share panties. It is probably better just to wear the old pair you brought with you.

Good luck to you! :)

If she has aids and the blood is fresh and you have open sores, then technically it is possible.
When borrowing underwear ask for a clean set.

Yuck, why would you wear blood-soaked underwear..?
Wouldn't you rather wear your own underwear two days in a row than wear ones that have blood stains on them?

Nasty but not likely that you can as the HIV virus does not live long outside the body so therefore if a day or two has passed then I'd say you're home free. In the future-take a pass.

More than likely these underwear have been washed many times, so the answer would be "no". Try not to worry yourself into a frenzy! :)
