The stem is really the best...because it carries all the nutrients to the florets. Same with cauliflower. But eat away...broccoli is one of the healthiest veggies you can eat. Carrots, brussel sprouts and even good old tomatoes are very healthy...and any "green" veggie, of course.

Not sure, but the tops are certainly easier to digest. My only problem since going vegan is that my body doesn't know what do with the gross amounts of broccoli I feed it. I love broccoli, but my body certainly doesn't.

The greener, the more nutrients, but the stem is still chock full of brocolli goodness and adds the much needed fibre.

Both. The stem has fibre and the tops...not sure, but if it's there then you should probably eat it!
