Besides Sweet Tomatoes, are there any other good places for Vegetarians to eat out at?
I know that Indian Restaurants are known for great vegetarian food, what else?

It really depends on where you live. Where I live there are a lot of Chinese Buddhist vegetarian restaurants, along with Indian restaurants.
Other possibilities are Mediterranean (Middle Eastern) restaurants, where you can get hummus, falafel, tabouli, etc. and African or Ethiopian restaurants.
You can often find at least a few vegetarian options like kappa maki (cucumber roll) at Japanese restaurants (just ask for no bonito [fish]) and at Thai restaurants (ask for no fish or oyster sauce).
Chain restaurants like Dennys, Baja Fresh, Togos and Subway have at least a couple of vegetarian options- not necessarily great, but it will do in an emergency.
Finally, take a look at www.happycow.net and www.vegdining.com for more vegetarian restaurant options.

I used to be a vegetarian for 10 years. I found the absolute best places for a vegetarian to eat out are steak houses. Really. The salad bars are immaculate. The baked potatoes are bigger than your head. Think about it...a vegetarian can do a lot of harm in a steak house buffet joint.
and don't just look for vegetarian-specific restaurants or enntrees. why limit yourself? I used to go to whatever restaurant I wanted and asked for the chicken whatever to be prepared without the chicken. or make a meal out of the sides part of the menu.

Actually, greek places usually have some great vegetarian foods.

depends on where you live i guess their are a ton of vegetarian restaraunts here. souper salad ,al's vegetarian, be le vegetarian vietnamese..and more

thai food is great.
Lebanese also.
frankly, you can go anywhere.
A lot of times, I just order something minus meat.
Or order a bunch of sides.
Go on-line and check out local places in your neighborhood.
