Hiv gets less weak when exposed to the air, which the ability for it to affect another person is greatly lessened.

The only way you can get it is through the mixing of bodily fluids(you need a lot of saliva, maybe 2-3 gallons) with yours and an infected human, or through sharing of needles. There is no air borne HIV strand as of yet. The only other way is if a crazy scientist somehow made you ingest the virus, which is really kind of going way out there.
