First of all you dont catch STD's, and no its very unlikely to "contract" a STD from a toilet seat considering most germs or pathogens die when they hit the air anyway.

This is an extremely unlikely cause for your STD. The buggers that cause STD's do not survive very well or very long outside of a host, which is the main reason why they are transmitted primarily through sex. Unless you rubbed yourself all over the toilet seat just seconds after an infected person rubbed him/herself all over the same seat, you probably picked it up from a partner who may not have been so kind as to inform you of his/her problem or perhaps did not know about it him/herself.
If you're already being treated, disregard -- but you should bring a list of your symptoms to your doctor in order for him/her to properly diagnose you. Once you're diagnosed (or if you already have been) you should contact all of the partners you have had in the past so they can all get tested -- they may be carrying it without knowing it, and will certainly need treatment.

It's possible. Everybody say you can not get a STD disease from a toilet, even doctors say that. But believe me they miss lots of things. I had same disease 2 years back and the doctor said it can get through sex only, even by intimate touches etc.. But I was virgin and never ever had a boyfriend before or that time. So, doctors know theory only as I am sure I got it by using a public toilet. There are small chances, but it's not impossible. I am the proof.

It would have been better if you had given us the name of the STD you are talking about. It is hard to give an opinion without knowing what type of STD cos you certainly can't get HIV through a toilet seat cos HIV is also an STD.

you can not get an STD from public toilet seats. However, you may get crabs. Get yourself checked go to the dr. ASAP. do not wait

Nope only possible if you think you got crabs or scabies (scabies can be transmitted anywhere ) and even then those little critters are likely to scatter looking for a new host .
They call it Sexually Transmitted for a reason sorry bud .

You didn't say what STD, but I'm assuming that your talking about "crabs" a sexually transmitted parasite.

the only sexually transmitted disease you can get is "crabs" from a toilet.If you sit down on one or lay in covers,or wear clothing of the infected person.
