I've read blood tests can be really inaccurate providing a negative result when in fact the person really does have the herpes virus. Tests for HSV (herpes simplex virus) are usually done only for sores in the genital area. In rare cases, the test may be done using other types of samples, such as spinal fluid, blood, urine, or tears.
Usually herpes is diagnosed when the person is having their first outbreak. A woman will have a gynecological exam and sometimes a pap smear depending on the woman's medical history. A man will have a genital exam to check for the virus.
I was diagnosed with genital herpes about 5 years ago. My doctor took one look at me and knew it was herpes. She also did a pap smear and swabbed the sores. I was never given a blood test.

No, it will be positive, if you've been infected. They have done studies to see if herpes could be pasted if the infected person wasn't showing any signs of the infection. It was found that it is possible to spread herpes - with no physical signs/ outbreaks of the disease.
If you truly need information about the disease go to the website suggested above, CDC (Center for Disease Control), health department, or area clinics.
Correct and accurate information is available from a number of sources. Also, diagnosis, treatment, prevention resources, and medication - free of charge in most communities!
Please take care of yourself - always!

most the time when you get tested for std's they dont test for herpies. the only test they can give you when your not having an outbreak is a blood test, and that will be positive if you have it regardless of an outbreak or no outbreak.

Yes it is very feasible on the grounds that blood checks don't seem to be one hundred% correct in terms of herpes. I could say when you've got the bumps move to the document asap on the grounds that they may be able to take a tradition from the bumps and you'll recognize for certain.

Sure it's very viable since blood exams don't seem to be one hundred% accurate on the subject of herpes. I'd say when you have the bumps go to the doc asap considering the fact that they are able to take a culture from the bumps and you are going to comprehend for sure.
