To Clarify this issue. The first case was not treated as the symptoms went away and reappeared many years later. When they reappeared they were more severe then the first time. The first encounter was dismissed as a urinary tract infection and never professionally diagnosed. Can the symptoms lie dormant for many years the just seam to appear out of nowhere.

I suppose if you didn't get treated the first time it could be a chronic infection... however, if it were that chronic you are looking at infertility and other complications. If you were diagnoses, treated, and cleared for it, then the answer is probably not...

Hi

My friend used to work in a gum clinic and I can tell you that if clamydia is not treated correctly it will lie dormant in the system cuasing no symptoms until many years after. It will not go away on its own and is highly contagious so if you have been sexually active then you will have passed it on to your partner. It can however be treated easily and simly with an antibiotic (usually 4 taken in one day) and clears up immediately. It can lead to scaring of the follopian tubes (ladies) and can if left untreated cuase infertility so this is why is important to treat straight away. I would pop down to the gum clinic (they are really friendly) and you do not have to worry at all they will take a simple swob and give you the medication there and then. Take care and best of look to you.

Chlamydia is known as a “silent” disease because about 3 out of 4 women who are infected don’t have symptoms. Some women have a change in vaginal discharge or pain when they urinate.

so yes it is possible

There are cases that additional medication is needed for the primary outbreak but otherwise it can't come back on its own. Someone gave someone the STD and if it isn't you that leaves one more person...?

are you sure your partner didn't have it when you met or contracted it after you met...maybe it's not just you and your previous experience. maybe your partner cheated on you. please consider that possibility too.
