I'm going down the shops soon, for supplies. What do you recommend I place atop my crumpet that will make it go down lovely with a nice cup of tea?

A yummy and different topping for waffles, muffins or anything else you can think of

1/3 cup powdered sugar

Whip margarine until creamy; drain juice from thawed strawberries.
Gradually add berries to margarine, beating well after each addition.

Best butter and nothing else. Eat them piping hot. Delicious. Alternatively spread some Marmite on top of the butter for a savoury option.

Lemon curd of course:

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup sugar
1 cup lemon juice
3 Tbsp. butter
3 eggs
PREPARATION:

Combine sugar and lemon juice in heavy medium saucepan. Stir in butter and eggs and beat well. Cook over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Pour into a one pint container and cover tightly. Keeps about 2 months.
