I grew up next to a Korean family in Denver. The Mother made her own Kimchi and she made me try it. It took some getting use to but they showed me how to eat it as a condiment with other tasty Korean food soon, I begin to love it.I sometimes buy it at the local Asian market, if you like spicy food and the taste of pickled veggies you will LOVE kimchi.

Hate it! I don't know how long kimchi is "pickled" but it taste nasty. It's definitely a taste to acquire.

Now for the smell - I used to live in a town in NJ that had a large Korean population and use to commute to NYC for work. The smell of kimchi would reek in the NJ Transit bus I'd take every morning! It comes out of their pores and their breath would be kicking!!!

I love kimchi, but it can be an acquired taste. Generally, if you like pickles or the pickled taste, then you might like it as it really is just spicy pickled cabbage. Some people make it with a strong garlic or clam flavor, but there are many variations of kimchi, including a "water kimchi", which has a less strong pickle flavor and not as garlic tasting / red spicy.

♡I totally love kimchi! I live in Japan and eat kimchi almost everyday. I love it on white rice, with Japanese nattou, with yaki niku, in nabe... Oh, I could go on and on!(*^o^*) Kimchi is one of my favorites. I always have kimchi in my fridge too.♡

I love it. It tastes great with anything and everything. It's very healthy for you too! I don't think it smells bad at all. My husband won't touch the stuff, says it looks too weird.

I think I may have tried it once, but I don't like the taste of it. Kinda sour. I don't really like picled stuff.

It's pretty tasty when I'm in the mood for it, but if I'm not, it kinda makes me wanna throw up.

I like it when it's done correctly. Some brands make it too sour.
