Regardless of which one you are on, trying taking wild oregano oil at the same time. I found that it greatly reduced my own asthma. Deep breathing also helps. All these steroids have brutal side affects so if you can find a natural approach, it's worth trying.

Asmanex Vs Advair

Advair has been used for many years and is a very effective respiratory medication. It contains a long-acting bronchodilator and an anti-inflammatory medication which is a low dose steroid. There are 3 diff steroid dosages: 100, 250 and 500. Your doctor should have you on the lowest dose possible. Be sure to rinse you mouth very well after administering, as it can cause thrush if you don't. As a Respiratory Therapist we use it all the time at our hospital. It is very safe and effective as long as you take the proper dosage which is 1puff two times a day (every 12 hours). Aasmanex is rarely used at our hospital so i only know that it is taken just 1 time a day usually and is a steroid as well. Asmanex does not contain a bronchodilator to open your airways so another medicine is usually prescribed to do that. Hope this helps

I use Advair and have never experienced any short or long term effects other than being able to finally be practically symptom-free of asthma for the first time in 30 years.

Advair. I use it everyday. I had a bad reaction to Asmanex. It sent me to the hospital. But that might have just been me. But from personal experience I would have to go with Advair.
