I tested my blood sugar (With my husband's meter who is diabetic) and my blood sugar reading was like 120. It had been about 30 mins or so after eating something and I think I had some high sugar things. Does that mean I could be pre-diabetic? Thanks for any input! I think I am going to cool it with the sweets for awhile.

1/2-hour test (unless in the lab with glucose) is not a good read, check after your normal breakfast or lunch, one-hour and two-hour readings. one-hour>180 and two-hour>120, then boderline. This is just an indication, you must have at least 3 days' checking with consistent readings. Also, check the A1c. If it is like 6.5, or>6, then it is prediabetic condition.

what is a border-line diabetic blood sugar 30 minutes after eating? Would 120 be a pre-diabetic reading?

There are a couple of different tests to check for pre-diabetes. The Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT) is one of them. In pre-diabetes, the 2-hour blood glucose is 140 to 199 mg/dl. This is referring ONLY to the this test. Another test, Fasting Blood Glucse (FBT), goes by another reading. A person with pre-diabetes has a fasting blood glucose level between 100 and 125 mg/dl. Again, this number refers ONLY to this test. The main reason you would be tested with this these tests are if you had the risk factors of a pre-diabetic, such as high weight, inactivity, advanced age (although more and more of the younger population is being diagnosed due to obesity). However, normal blood sugar levels are between 70-120 mg/dl. Blood sugar levels consistently above those levels likely indicate pre-diabetes or diabetes, which would require further the tests discussed above and physician consultation. I hope this was helpful.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

No I don't believe 120 is a pre-diabetic reading at all. I know alot about diabetes because my two children are both type 1 diabetics. (one age 10 dxd@1, the other 11 dxd@7) I wouldn't worry about a 120 reading, thats considered a "normal" reading. :-)

check fasting blood sugar instead. 30 mins after eating is not a reliable test. no guidelines for that timing. FBG should be ,110.

30 minutes after food is not that reliable unless u had a liquid like soda. 120-140 , one or two hrs of food is borderline.
