Yes. Your hysterectomy has nothing to do with being able to contract a disease.

Yes, you have the same risk as before. I am guessing by total hysterectomy, you have had your uterus and cervix removed. If you have had your ovaries and tubes removed as well, that is a hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo oopherectomy. Usually, it doesn't make a difference how you refer to it, but there is a difference medically.
Mr. Right - I am guessing you didn't have this done.
And you can't get herpes from a toilet seat.
The only real difference you have now is that an untreated std like chlamydia won't cause the same symptoms as it did before. That can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease, and since you don't have the organs to infect, you might not get really sick as soon as someone else. It can still cause problems though, so make sure you are using protection and getting tested regularly.

A hysterectomy is an operation where the doc removes your uterus - probably due to severe complications during pregnancy, or fibroids...etc.
Anyway -its has nothing to do with your getting STDs 'Sexually Transmitted Diseases' - Diseases like gonorrhea, Herpes, Chlamydia etc invade the mucosal lining of the cervix and enter the blood stream, some just attack the cervix n surroundings. Even if you had to remove the cervix, viruses can still invade genital tract mucosa,.. so, sorry to break the news to you -- but yes, you are still at risk for STDs.
Advice-- practice safe sex, use condoms
Incidently -- immediately after your operation you should avoid sex for AT LEAST a week.
AND -- if you had a vaginal hysterec, for a while you are at an INCREASED risk for STDs simply because injured mucosa is more susceptible to STDs.

Having hysterectomy doesn't mean you're no longer susceptible to STDs. You still have to practice safe sex and know your partner well.

How does it matter for infection, whether uterus is present or not? all infection wants is acidic environments and some fats and proteins in the mucosa layers inside vagina, vulva etc
Hence, you have the chance of STD even if hysterectomy is done
Best is that you use protection
