This is a very good question and sounds like something I would have asked if I had thought of it.They are making them now with a light in there,but technology is more advanced and I guess they have just come up with bulbs that can survive the freezing cold.I would think an ordinary bulb might bust when the heat and cold mix.Like putting a glass right out of the freezer into hot water.

Your freezer is meant to be full. It operates more efficiently when it is completely stuffed. In this situation a light would be useless, as well as adding heat to the freezer.

because you need the light Thur the day & night to see in the fridge,you don't look in the freezer but in the day, or i don't any way

mayb when fridges without lite in the freezer were made, there wernt light which would produce less or no heat and thus freezers dint have light....

because you're more likely to get a midnight snack out of the fridge because most things in the freezer need to be thawed or heated.

fridge is bigger and you need a light to see the contents in it while a freezer is smaller and the lightbulb would freeze if put inside

it is for the night time.so that u may see what is their inside the freezer . by the way most of them stores ice cubes so there is no need for the light in freezer.

Some freezers have it. Mostly in top-of-the-line ones like Viking.
