Most people have eaten it all their lives, so they like it and don't know any better. I am vegan and wouldn't touch any meat now, it is rotting flesh from the moment the animal is killed and not good to eat for your digestive system.

Who said that we are not supposed to eat meat? Back in the day before Adam and Even sinned that was the order of the day, but after the fall, God made it clear which meat was kosher "acceptable" to eat. Although we are no longer bound by the Old Testament dietary laws to be acceptable to God, we would still do well to adhere to the old Jewish diet since experts have discovered that those meats are actually better for our health than the rest.
Now, why does meat taste so good? Well, you probably like meat in general. Have you tryed pan fryed lam chops? They are the bomb (BOOM!).
Happy eating.
Mr. M on meat.

I do believe we are to get the protein from meat.. for those who don't want to eat meat that is a choice, not necessarily everyone's. For those who don't want to eat meat they must substitute with other protein enriched foods. If you like it and don't have any morals against it, eat it but in proportion to your other foods,, good rule of thumb,, meats and starches 1 palm of your hand in measurement pr serving.. veggies 2 hands sizes pr serving. If you are going to eat meat and want to be extra safe, try to get organically grown so you ar not ingesting the hormones they use commercially to make the animals grow faster.
I hope this helps, JJ:)

Funny thing is, a true carnivore (like lots of human meat eaters think they are) eats a carcass, bones, stomach contents and all. There are a few human tribes out there who run down animals and eat them raw, warm and bloody. You my friend, are conditioned to like meat, and eating some is probably good for you. Good taste is a matter of training. In Japan, the babyfoods in a jar aren't beef, lamb and chicken like we eat in America. Their top sellers are eel and flounder and other fishy things like that. Remember to train yourself to eat veggies with the meat to offset the risk of heart disease and American fat butt syndrome.

Meat "tasting good" is a bit of a subjective thing, wouldn't you say? I happen to disagree.

Long ago, evolution tuned human taste buds for survival in the wilderness. So we find it hard to resist anything fatty, salty, or sweet (and meat is all of these tastes).
