A diabetic can use as much spice and herbs as they can tolerate. I love pepper sauces. I don't mean tobasco sauce, though. What I like would make tobasco sauce taste weak and tame by comparion. Scoville units about 100K+. About four drops per meal will do just about right.
Please do not believe that "Diamaxol" crap. You can do that by eating less or better combination of low carb foods. Blood glucose levels should be averaging 85-90 to be normal anything above 140 is foolish and risks your health in later years. Do the right thing and stay away from these 'over the counter' cures. Their claims just don't work for diabetics. They prey on your fears for profit.

Sure... but it's best to stay away from ones that have a lot of excess sugars (including variations such as corn syrup, etc) Some spices are known to actually help diabetics. Cinnamon for example, helps to metabolize sugars in some way. You should read the American Diabetes Association website. I always check info there for my Mom.

Yes, unless there is some other digestive process. It's really better to appreciate and taste the food for itself instead of dressing it up with spices. Try to cut down on spices. If you mean salt, then no, don't use salt because it contributes to high blood pressure which contributes to heart disease which is the main cause of death in diabetics.

Diabetics can eat pretty much anything they want as long as they give insulin for it! Obviously a healthy diet containing fruits, low fat dairy, and whole grains and veggies is encouraged. I am a type one and the only thing I don t really eat is regular soda. I could have it if I wanted it, but it tastes too sweet for me. Try and fit in the daily recommened amounts of grains, dairy etc. If you do that, you should have no problems :) You can't spotreduce places of your body. Try cardio (running, walking, swimming, biking) Mixed with light strength exercises (weights, exercise ball, medicine ball).

Yes!!! There are more flavors that sweet and salty. Fresh herbs add so many layers of flavors. I find I eat slower to savor the flavors. My favorites are the basils. There is cinnamon basil for Moroccan Chicken. Lemon basil is really good on baked or grilled fish. The Genovesa is killer on homemade pizza! But then I can't forget sage for veal-wrapped shrimp!

If you want to do something to get your blood sugar down. Here is a website you can look it up, it is a pills that you can get it is called Diamaxol. you can not get them at the drug store y ou can order them on line, and they do help too. I brouhght them for my wife and she took them and her sugar usually stay up pass 200mg something and now it is 140mg something, but it take time for them to work. and it is good one too. you can not expect it to go down in one day it will take time up to 90 to 120 days to get line up , and then again it depend on how your blood sugars is. I will put the website name here for you and you can look it up and if you know of anyone that got a diabetic. pls show them this link here. the Doctor does not want any of you to know this Cause they would lose the money if you take this. so just look it and give it a try. My wife she took it and it work for her. If it work for her then it will work for you too. she had a type 2 diabetic. here is the site here go to the www.techmedica.com/diamaxol.html
