I'm wondering if you have been out in the heat, sweating a lot, and drinking lots of plain water?
Drinking, sweating, and peeing a lot could flush your system of sodium. Diabetics can get dehydrated and mess up their electrolyes quickly! (Propel is supposed to replace electrolytes without lots of sugar---according to the advertising.) Check your heart rate. If it is slow for you, you need to see a doctor. Too much potassium can slow and even stop a heart.

it does sound like your kidneys aren't functioning well or it could be your blood sugars are too high or you are dehydrated. There is a relationship with sodium and potassium when one in high the other is low or vice versa.Any diabetic should be followed by a nephrologist or kidney doc.,

Excessive levels of potassium is quite dangerous to your kidneys and can cause kidney problems. You might be having low blood pressure, right?

Get yourself checked out by your doctor. Not only can high potassium mess up your kidneys, it can seriously damage your heart. My father has diabetes and his kidneys are nonfunctional, in fact he's being prepped for dialysis (no hope for a kidney transplant). He also has neuropathy in his feet and heart disease and has had 2 episodes of congestive heart failure. He's only 59 yrs. old. Please get checked out now!
