One of the 'sources' for the Da Vinci Code is the book, 'The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail' by Lincoln and others. In there we read about the 'Priory of Sion' The idea for the 'Priory of Sion' was invented by a man named Pierre Planchard who is a convicted confidence trickster. He created forged parchments planted in the walls of a church at Rennes-le-Chateau. He created the idea that the descendants of Jesus and Mary Magdalen had married into the French nobility and were part of the Merovingian line of succession to the French throne. Planchard collaborated with author Gerard de Sede to write books about the Priory and the sacred bloodline. He planted the so-called "secret dosiers" in the French National Library. In 1993 Planchard admitted to a Frech Government enquiry into the claims that it had all been a hoax. Recently de Sede's son admitted that the whole thing was "pure piffle".

When I look back in history I seen nothing to support the claims that Jesus and Mary Magdalen were anything but what the Gospels say they were - friends & Teacher and disciple.

Because you need something called proof. There is nothing in history that says that Jesus and Mary Magdalene ever had a child. The Da Vinci Code is a fictional book. Even Dan Brown said so.

We don't know if it's true. There is no actual proof besides a book that has been rewritten billions of times. Show us God, and we'll believe that He exists. I'm not saying He doesn't exist, I don't know whether or not He does. What I'm saying, is there's so much speculation of things, that we don't exactly know what to believe. Look back in history and you will see what? Nothing. No proof except what people have led us to believe. If you could travel back in time, would you? Just to prove that Jesus and Mary existed. If you could prove it, would you? Or would you just let people carry on with their speculation?
The thing is, nobody knows, and that's what causes so much controversy.
I think that we should just leave it be. What's done is done. Maybe Da Vinci knew about Jesus, maybe he was right. but there's no way of knowing if he was or not. Let's just leave it be, and carry on with our lives.

The Da Vinci Code is a FICTIONAL movie. They make no pretense that this movie actually portrays history. So how did you get sucked in? It seems that people just want to grasp at anything and believe in it.

so far of what ive seen of the code, there is nothing even in the pictoral arts that symbolise even a flirtasious act, but even if he had a relationship with a girl so what,im sure gods no stranger to sex i mean the gods did create us in their image so if jesus was with a girl right on!!!!maybe he didnt dei on the cross either and just got away from all the fame that kept him from feelin like a normal guy and maybe he did run off with some ladie in secret, im sure god needs his lover too,so why not let the big guy have the happyness of a happily ever after?might benefit us as well you know !!
