Why do you christians assume Atheists are bad people?

I do voluntary work. I give to some charities. The difference is , I don't do it for some reward in heaven as YOU do. So why do you think you are better than me?

THEY'RE NOT BETTER , THEY'RE JEALOUS , YOU ARE A GOOD PERSON AND YOU CAN THANK YOURSELF FOR THAT . A CHRISTIAN CAN'T.....THE PRAISE HAS TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE .

Hey,I don't care what religion you are or aren't.I leave all the soul saving to God.If some one asks I try to answer.
I don't consider myself better or worse.
Organized religion is not what Christianity is supposed to be about.I think all it does for many is just drive them away.If you have ever read the Bible you know it is a rough book it has something in it to condemn every one of us ,When I read I realize how bad I am and don't have much room left to worry if the next guy is any better.It usually leave me with a slight inferiority complex.
As to the reward in Heaven stuff well if I make it in I'll be satisfied.

Christians..... at least those that believe and live true Christianity...don't necessarily believe someone who professes to be an Atheist to be a "Bad Person". God loves everyone, even you. "Hate the sin; Love the sinner". By the way, He loves you even if you don't believe He exists. We Christians also do works such as you mentioned, but true Christians don't aim at personal reward, but do these things in obedience to... and for the love of...Christ. I think if you became better educated in what Christianity truly is you would re-evaluate Atheism. God Bless you.

You know a long time ago my uncle asked me why I didn't bug him about becoming saved like my mother and grandmother did all the time and for that matter why I didn't even say anything about my faith. I just told him you already know as much as you need to know the rest is up to you. I do not judge! If you have no higher power then hey that is your choice. We all have choices to consider and make. You are who you are. I for one would never think myself better than you or anybody else for that matter. It's not in my nature. I suppose that the people you have gathered these condemnations from aren't any better, but think they are. What they seem to be misunderstanding is that sand looks and feels like sand (some with sharper edges, some with little or no edges, but edges nonetheless.) but when heated it all turns to glass and like sand we to have the same characteristics. We are all the same and must return the same.(Some with more scars and others with little or no scars.) This will not change who we are.

I am so certain that a lot of "Christians" are going to be sooo surprised come Judgment Day!
Why Jesus himself consorted with thieves and prostitutes....He even drank wine!!
and He loved them...and He taught them...
What good is it to "save" church-goers? They already know it all.....or do they? One more thought....
A Church is not a building.....
A Church is two or more people gathered together in the name of God. so if you don't go to the building every Sunday....know this.
You and I just had Church be you atheist or not ,one more thought for you ...I believe that no one is truly an atheist...if they were they wouldn't have a thought of what to call themselves...I believe you to be persons who were badly treated in
"The Building"
(formerly known as Church) by perhaps,a group of fashion-minded, respectable pillars of the society...

Atheist believe that Christians asume that Atheists are bad people!

And believing in "nothing" (being an Atheist) is still believing in something (like that there is no God) see? U still believe, don't you?

Anyway, I'd rather live my life as though there is a God than go through life like there is no God and die, find out there is & then I'm screwed!

I think most Christian's just know that you Atheists are ignorant! but this is still my opinion!

we don't...and hopefully, we aren't as insecure as you...from the tone of your post ("the difference is, i don't do it for some reward in heaven as You do") it sounds as if YOU, however, think YOU are somehow better...such arrogance! what qualifies you to assume such 'insight' into why Christians do things for others? it may surprise you to learn it is because we are trying to follow Christ's example and teachings, and because we believe that it is the right thing to do and because we love our neighbor-i think it's great that you give to charity and do volunteer work-thank you for helping others-now, here's something you can do for your own peace of mind- get over yourself!

Perhaps Christians are uncomfortably aware that their religion is amoral, and that the atheist worldview by contrast allows true morality, so some of them get on the defensive by trying to condemn atheists.

Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Gods do not die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us? Big deal!

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

If you swallow this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to swallow it too.

Christians want everyone to convert to their non-thinking in order to be 'saved'.

Believing and not thinking is like choosing a mental illness and becoming lost.
