I PLAYED A FLASH GAME ONLINE . THEN I LOGGED OFF .
I THEN FOUND THE GAME TO BE STILL PRESENT IN THE
TEMPORARY FILE .SO I WISHED TO COPY IT TO THE HARD DISC. THE COPY IS DONE CORRECTLY BUT IN THE FORM OF DIR FILE .SO I NEED A SOFTWARE TO OPEN THE FILE.

You cannot copy a flash game, so I'm not sure what you did. That's why so much web content is shown in flash - to protect the ownership of it.

DIR typically is the DOS abbreviation for "Directory". But according to FileExt.com, it can also be a "Macromedia Director Movie". Notice the word movie here. You might have somehow saved video/screenshots from earlier, and not the game.

How can a flash game come in DIR format. There is a software called sothink swf decompiler you can download from the following locations

Try opening it with Macromedia Director.

On the left of your keyboard there is a button with "Caps Lock" printed on it.

Press it.
