Try an olive oil treatment.
Massage warm olive oil in your hair and scalp, leave it in for 15 min then rinse and wash with a mild shampoo.

The appearance of flakes can be reduced, especially in those who suffer from only a mild case of dandruff, by proper hair care.
Household remedies to get rid of dandruff are apple cider vinegar (the gold standard of household remedies), salt or lemon juice. Apply the liquid to the scalp and allow to remain for several minutes to several hours, even overnight, then shampoo and rinse clean in the shower. One good way to apply the liquid is from a spray bottle, or simply by pouring over the head. Apple cider vinegar can also be used as a rinse after shampooing: the vinegar will act as both a fungicide to fight the cause of the cell buildup, as well as a rinsing agent, which will rinse clumps of skin away before they appear large enough to be visible.

I've got a great solution for you! My hairdresser used Sea Breeze astringent liberally all over my husband's head after she shampooed and washed it (he has terribly dry, flaky scalp and skin) and ran her fingers through his hair to distribute in around his scalp. It doesn't sound like it would work but it did! It loosens up all the loose dry skin and clears it off your head. Ever since, he hardly ever has any dandruff or dry skin. Use about once per week if it's really bad, or as needed. It won't hurt your hair, quite the opposite, it will help clean off build up from product use. Try it! Hope this helps!

Treatment for dry hair: Dry hair is usually thin and rough in structure. It easily gets tangled and has splits at the end of the hair fiber. Therefore an oil massage is required. Some of the therapies that are practiced at home are given below and after applying them they are rinsed with water.
a) An egg mixed with skimmed milk is whipped till foam is formed and then applied ..........
