Sexual abstinence is a sexual fetish all it's own of course...
I think the "sex is dirty" thing is Bible based nonsense about sin and religious people do seem to get some kind of vicarious excitement in discussing other people's sex lives...they have a problem because of Bible-based guilt and shame and they are to be pitied really, Muslim's similarly.
Religions that interfere in their followers sex lives are sexually abusive religions.

Most religions believe that promiscuous sex is dirty. Not the act itself.

I don't know anyone who believes that monogamous sex is dirty. I never heard of that one before. It's basically just people fooling around where the 'dirty' part came from.

Nobody really 'wants' a prostitute or a woman who sleeps with everyone..
They're called dirty to this day...

Also anal sex is called dirty for a reason. Fetishes are also called dirty for obvious reasons.

Promiscuous sex is called 'dirty'. Fetishes are also labelled 'dark' sometimes. Is it nice to screw your neighbors wife? No.. Is it nice to risk creating another human being because you wanted to 'have fun'?

It's basically common sense...

Well thankfully I've never met anyone like that...all I have to say is you are missing out sucks to be them. By the way if you never have sex before you are married...how do you know how the key will fit?? I dunno about you but I'd sure like to know that detail before I tie the knot...all be it those people choose abstinence because they say that love is the most important thing...which is nice and I suppose it would also mean that having sex in the first place is at the top of their list either...but who knows I'm not one to judge. Yea it is dirty but thats why like you said we have showers and contraceptive and washing machines...so we can get clean after having that oh so wonderful fun.

*sigh* sweet dreams!!

I dont think people see it as dirty. It is a personal preference. I sometimes wander though that some people have an unhealthy obsession with sex. Why is there the need to go on about it what are they trying to prove, How virile they are?

I had to straighten my husband out about that, too. He is from Pakistan, where it's taboo to speak of it even with your spouse. It's even worse when it comes to women because women are supposed to be seen as shy little things who are basically raped since they are not allowed to show emotion in that area. Well, we are both muslim, and I found texts that speak of a man who is supposed to perform foreplay to get his wife in the mood, that both have a right to be sexually satisfied in the bedroom, and that shyness has no place in the bedroom. This is only ONE area that I have had to teach him about. Sex is dirty in the way that you are not clean in your body afterwards. You are right, and our religion does say to get clean again, simply take a shower. It's just common sense.

well i guess, all they need to have, then, is SEX EDUCATION... that's normal among all people... where could we have been now if that's dirty and keep ourselves from talking about that subject???
