Because we feel our lifes are more public than it should be. Fifty years ago, fifty percent of the nation lived in the woods, and associated much less than they do now. In a pluralistic society riding a media roller-coaster, privacy is at a premium. Religion has retreated to the home, and to sites like this. (I don't consider watching church on TV a union of religion and life) And even here, we count on a certain level of anonymity.

For Americans life is very very disticnt from religion. If they start following what they actually show to others as their religious belief they can't go further even a single step.

have you ever appeared into the Messianic church. that's Jewish those who believe in Jesus. I havent been to at least one in a lengthy time period so I dont truly understand what that's like anymore, and obviously each and every church is diverse, even if it would have a number of what you're searching for. I have idea about interpreting diverse religions earlier(and characteristic/proceed to) yet I have not in any respect idea about switching religions because i believe in Christ specifically, even if I dont have an same respect for the church, i understand one element and that is Christ and him crucified (Paul stated that very last area, not truly me) desire you hit upon what you're searching for. save searching and praying. God will teach His will in persistence and staying power. Edit: Oh and the people who were fantastically impolite in this one, dont take what they stated in my opinion, that is perhaps why you left the church first of all, judgementalness is a fluent language interior the church. you're at this spot probably becuase you're searching for! that is what God calls us to do, it doesnt make your courting with God any a lot less genuine. (a minimal of thats my opinion)

those that i know don't......religion, or just your set of beliefs, usually has a lot to do with how you live your life. what you do or won't do. just because i don't go around telling people god doesn't exist doesn't mean i completely separate by beliefs from my daily life.

Maybe because religion is a SYSTEM, a PROCESS and RITUALS and not really VALUES that have been integrated and are used to make decisions daily.

And this is not only true for Americans ;)
