Hey, Muslim do not have the concept of Trinity. Only us Roman Catholics have that. But still, we Catholics have a problem understanding the concept of Trinity or Holy Trinity. Three Persons in One God. Wow. mind blowing. Good luck thinking about it.

I don't think I could have said it better myself than most of the answers already given. In Islam we have the concept of Tawheed, which means "In the state of being One" fromthe Arabic word Ahad which means one. This is the basic beliefe in Islam that there is only one creator.
In the Islamic way of looking at things the idea of a triune God is false because is appears to imply that God is divisable or that God is actually three beings helping each other. If then God is also one then an added layer of complexity is added that seems to be unecessary.
As has been mentioned in other posts to the question, this is confusing to many Chirstians and Catholics - so why shouldn't it be confusing to Muslims?
Peace and Blessings,
Salim

The concept of Trinity is a very hard one, although for some catholic and christian really cant comprehend it. And I think is more difficult for Muslim, because they don't believe Jesus is the son of God, they think as Jesus as another prophet that came and have gone.

If islam had to accept the Triunity of God: Father, Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit, it would then have to accept that Jesus outranks that homicidal maniac Mohammed who created a knock off religion to try to rule the world. Then the islam thing would totally collapse, and go into chaos. Can you imagine, having to admit that a JEW is actually Lord, Savior, part if the Holy Trinity.. Well it doesnot matter what they think Jesus Is Lord, anyway..

I have trouble with the whole little bird thing. And was Jesus the son of God or the son of man? Was Adam the son of God? Why a trinity then and not a fab four? I believe in God, but know not in what form.
Read Job and you will know you know nothing.

Because Muslims do not believe that Jesus was divine. Thus he can not be part of the trinity, and so there is no trinity. They just believe Jesus was a prophet.

Actually Christian scholars of the highest eminence have trouble with it too. The verse concerning the trinity, 1John 5. 7 is present in the KJV Bible but missing in the revised standard version of the Bible (expunged by the eminent scholars themselves!!! ) The RSV Bible according to its revisers (32 christian scholars of the highest eminence backed by 50 cooperating denominations ) is based on the most ancient and most reliable manuscripts.

The trinity, like the word "Christian" are just terms to help people comprehend how to get closer to (synonymous with 'understanding') how God is.
The trinity is actually never talked about in the bible. And Christians aren't talked about until near the end. This is because they aren't so much truths themselves as much as they are pointers to the truths. Jesus wasn't even a 'christian', but did he live by all the things we attribute to christians? yes. This is becuase we use that word to point us to how to be like jesus, who was a Jewish Rabbi.
The trinity is another one of those words. They never use it in the bible, but it was a word made to help people understand how God has shown himself to us. It's a 'pointing word' if you would...
I guess, I have more of an argument with the quesiton... Maybe if it was said as, "Why dont' muslims believe Jesus was God in human form".... Which the answer may be... Becuase it's hard to imagine God making himself human? Expecially after reading historic texts not included in the bible... Such as Jesus being a kid and such. I think Jesus, like God, needs a lot of faith to trust in him.
