If yournext door neighbour owns a Peacock, and it flys into your garden (yard for the Americans), and lays an egg. Who does the egg belong to?

Because peacocks do not lay eggs, being male and all that, I think some scientific research institute would want to lay claim to the egg

So what if the peacock can't lay eggs? That wasn't his question.
The man asked who's is this egg, mine, my neighbor's or the peacock's?
Who are we to judge this peacock if it can lay eggs?
I think a lawyer's answer would solve this problem..

nobody. peacocks don't lay eggs. they're the males. peahens are the females. :D yay birdies!!!
p.s. peacocks and peahens do fly but not very far. i saw it at the zoo. lol they escaped and flew up on the mini train station. they flutter like mad and don't go farther than 6 feet i wud say and are close to the ground. or they flutter madder and can go up but not to far distance wise. it was a long time ago but boy did that peacock want that peahen...
