Hi Carmen, I am from Secunderabad, South Central India. I have been to Singapore in 2001. I found it very beautiful and clean. The guy who was introducing said Singapore is a FINE city because you will be fined for every wrong thing that you do.

Well, India is not like that. We have 3 seasons. Summer, Rainy and Winter. This a cross cultural place. Across the continent of India, which is a part of South Asia, you will find people of different colors, languages, religions, political parties, dialects and everything is different in different parts of the country. Though democracy is the pattern of government, we think that it doesn't suit this nation. Still, for all these different species to live together ia a great achievement.

As for Landmarks, in the Northern part of the country we have Delhi, the capital of India, with its landmark - Indiagate and Qutub Minar. Going up we have Kashmir with its world famous Dal lake and is shikaras - house boats. Going down, we have Agra with its world famous Taj Mahal - one of the seven wonders of the world- in it. Going East, we have Kolkatta with its famous Howrah Bridge, a bridge with no supports in between - called a cantilever bridge. On the East side we have Mumbai, the commercial capital of India as well as the Movies capital of India where most of the Hindi movies are produced and where most of the famous cine stars live. In the central part we have the famous Khajuraho temples, depicting the erotic architecture of India near Bhopal. Gowing down, we have the Hyderabad city, a mixture of the old and new. Old Muslim style architecture including the famous Charminar and the latest IT houses and its Malls competing with International standards. In the south we have Bangalore, city of gardens and also IT hub. Goa on the western side with its myriad pristine beaches old hertiage type churches. Tamilandu with many famous temples and Kerala known in India as God's own country - beatiful city with canals, backwaters and houseboats and of course palm trees.

This sums up, in short, India, at its best. It can cater to any kind of tourist. Nature, Wildlife, Beaches, Mountain Resorts, with hotels catering to all categories of tourists. If you are planning to visit India, this is the rainy season now. Waterfalls will be full and the forests will be fresh and green. Nothing like it. Monsoon magic its called. Try it. You will enjoy it.

Well hello there!!

I am from Parshall, North Dakota, United States of America, but now reside in Minot, North Dakota. North Dakota is close to Canada and my hometown that I am from is actually on an Indian Reservation and I am part Native American, Spanish, Norwegian, German etc...so I am an All-American Mutt if you will.

North Dakota has four seasons many people think it is cold up here all the time not true at all, as of right now we are having weather that is super humid and running about 95 degrees farenheit, Fall is my favorite...love the cooler weathe, I think it is so funny when I see people from warmer climates bundling up in 45 degree weather...which is nothing for us I could walk around in a T-shirt all day in that type of weather, but when it get's super hot I can't even handle the heat so I guess that makes it even. When the winter sets in it can get pretty cold though, we have had some very mild winters the last few years but you can get to where it is -45 below 0 farenheit, one year we had a blizzard and the next day I couldn't even find my car--it had gotten so windy that the snow had packed in my car from top to bottom.

North Dakota has a small populations and tourist sites would probably be the Peace Gardens between North Dakota and Canada, Medora--and the Badlands. Some people still think we live the Ol'West just like in the old movies....so not true. Right now big thing for tourists is the Lewis and Clark bicentennial, Powwow's sometime's attracts people as well.

As for landmarks...hmmm North Dakota is flat prairie land pretty much we do have something called the "Writing Rock" which is cool it is a big rock that was found with ancient writing on it from the Vikings...even before anyone else had thought to travel to the "New World" so that is kinda neat. Lake Sakakawea is a big tourist attraction for fisherman.

Visiting probably is in it's highest in the summer time.

Have a good one--I like learning about different areas so good luck!!--Jammie Girl

Famous places?

I'm from France, you probably know Paris as a famous touristic place; I live in Strasbourg (east of France) which is a really nice place to visit to, very traditional; full with nice and kind people...
South of France (Montpelier, Marseilles) are also great to visit...
Concerning weather, yes, we do experience the four seasons in France, depending if you live in the South or not, winters are sometimes real cold, but i guess we cant' complain...
Everybody should come and enjoy France at least once...

On another hand, I was born and lived in Italy, you may have hear about Rome, Venice and so on, probably the best place in the world, a unique way of life there!

I lived in Perth, Western Australia for 9 years.
Only 5 hours flight from Singapore, very close compared to other cities in western countries.
Perth is a beautiful city with about 1.5 million people ...
Huge number of Asian .. so you'll feel comfortable there. A big part of the Asian community are people from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and other south east asian countries.
It has 4 seasons, with mild winters but pretty hot summer. Most people from Asia think Perth is boring. They're used to the business of the city life .. but you have to stay a bit longer, and enjoy the lifestyle of Perth .. which is very relax and stress free ... walk on the beautiful beaches and enjoy coffee at some great cafes ...

Wow, I realized, too many things to list here. You gotta visit Perth if you can, or if you haven't already.

I am from the UK and we can get the four seasons in one day!
We can have sun and wind and hail and snow and rain and sun again, all in one day!
The places that tourists visit are always London, (which I think is awful,) and then they go to Scotland. I live somewhere in between which tourists don't visit very often, unless they get lost!
But it is very nice here, well I mean the countryside is.
Apart from that, it is awful with petrol prices the highest in the world, parking is a SERIOUS problem, everyone is stressed out so everyone seems to be bad tempered. Customer service is non existent and if it hasn't just stopped raining then it is just about to start.
I have been to Singapore and thought it was WONDERFUL.

I'm from uh. California, USA, North America. I live in the Los Angeles county. We don't experience seasons, I hardly noticed that we had a spring because the temperature change from winter to spring wasn't that big. Our highs during the summer are only around high 80s to 90 degrees Farhenheight.

Cities in the area include Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills.

We're close to the ocean; Manhattan Beach, Venice Beach, Hermosa Beach.

The Del Amo in Torrance is the second to fourth (depending on how you size it) biggest mall in America. And Third Street Promenade. (:

We're also close to the O.C. (Orange County) which has uh. More beaches. And shopping places like the Block.

UM. BEACHES. ARTSY FARTSY. CLUBS. MUSIC. Such and such.

Jeez yeah. I really got into this.
Well L.A. is pretty interesting.

hey how u doin? i am from a very small kingdom in Africa called Swaziland. at the moment we are in winter and it it quite cold but today it seems to be quite warm. yes we do experience all 4 seasons, winter ends at the ends soon and in September we will have spring. Swaziland normally has a summer Christmas. Swaziland has a king as a ruler and we have lots of traditional cultures. Swaziland has lots of natural game parks and lodges, museums, craft shops, restaurants, and fishing, boating and river rafting. our king has 13 wives, he gets to choose another in august during the traditional reed dance. I have never been to Asia but id love to because i love to travel. Africa is a very poor country which has a very high HIV/Aids rate, with lots of orphans. If we could live a healthy life and do away with polygamy and educate our people we could make a difference and reduce the risk of infection.

I am from Vancouver Canada. Yes, we experience the four seasons, but as Vancouver is coastal and southern (right on the 49th parallel) our climate here is very mild. Most other parts of Canada experience more extremes in weather, from very hot in the summer, to very cold in the winter. In Vancouver for instance, we seldom dip Bellow zero in the winter, or above 30 in the Summer (Celsius). On the prairies for example, it not unusual to experience temperatures of minus (-) 40 in the winter, and plus (+) 40 in the summer. On the prairies, spring and autumn are very short, with winter and summer taking most of the year.
