Seems like the smarter, nicer, and prettier you are the less of a chance you have of a date. I have beautiful nice friends who cannot get a date if their life depended on it. Yet you see women who are not attractive at all with hunks who have it together. What gives?

well women who are un-attractive usually have great personalities, because they lack looks.
its hard to fing that one person, that's smart, gorgeous and funny.
If a guy sees a pretty girl, they probably think, well..she's too pretty, and probably will turn me down.
THat's why in the new age, women ask men out. Its not bad to go for it. If you see a guy that you like, go for it. Men like a woman who's smart enough to go after what she wants. Its not all looks, I think if he's a descent guy, its more about who you are inside, and how you view life, not by what you look like and wear.

Many reasons. First, if you're so attractive and appealing, then most guys would think you're already taken. A civilised man would not dare make an advance on a woman who is currently involved in a relationship.
There is the evil factor. Pretty people often use their looks to use people. Some guys have been used and burned by the "pretty ones," and have since developed a disdain for them.
Society is also to blame. Many times pretty people are protrayed as dumb. You can't tell someone is smart by the way they look, but the popular media has made it easy to assume that the prettier someone is the dumber they are. Some guys don't like dealing with stupid girls.
This problem is not only for attractrive women, some of my hot guy friends complain about the same issue. Or something similar, in that girls always assume they're players because someone so hot must already have a girlfriend.

Because the stereotype is that they already have a boyfriend and why even waste your time asking. Second of all watch TV and see how many shows there are where pretty women turn everyone down if they don't make at least 6 figures. Maybe those pretty girls need to just be more bold go after what they like. Your question is as old as time and it will never change unless the women make it happen.

It's very simple in fact......
Nice,beautiful girls have high standards.....they are more demanding.....some of them are complicated natures,also some of them are very shy(incredible,they probably should be the opposite)they are also concerned with other aspects of life,like their carriers etc.,they are looking for Mr.Handsome(preferably with lots of money)....
On the other hand for a guy who wants sex it's easier to find women like the ones you've described(ugly,bitchy women).
They are not so demanding,and for them is a real problem to find and KEEP a guy so they are trying everything .....
Some guys are just falling into their nets....

Alot of guys are intimidated by beautiful, independent women. They feel as if they are not needed by these women. Some others feel that if a woman is not that attractive or successful she won't have real high expectations or turn them down. Others could just be shy & don't want to risk getting turned down. Tell your friends to approach the guy if he seems shy & start a conversation.

As a guy I will try to answer this. Ok... Attravtive woman are more likely in our book to shot you down if the dont like what they see, cause we are not attractive enough. As for me I never have a problem with it I asked out pleanty of attractive woman. Other men as from what my friends say is that they can be a b**** and sometimes that is true, I have been shot down pleanty of times but it never effected me, well hell why should it. I guess you can say that I really dont know the answer but would like to give my imput about it or at least try to answer it. sounds like there is more to the question or maybe not. Also us men might be afraid that we will not impress them, or we do something stupied in front of them and thats it forget it messed up already. Guys also complain that they see gorgeous girls with ugly guys, but they just explain it away in two ways:
1. He has money
2. He is hung
So maybe these ugly girls are good lays!

haha... well some men r rly cheap... so women get to hook up wit em easier...
i wuldnt be afraid to ask out a nice pretty smart woman... but i guess others would just do it for the sex...
and im pretty sure that the bitchy women would enjoy sex more than commitment or something like that

I think this is a better answer. Attractive girls give a vibe off to men like myself that they may have a boy friend. I dont want to cause a fight or anything like that just incase the guy is around. you never know. Consequently many attractive girls I have seen end up not having boy friends and so I lose when they eventually find one. I hope that helps a bit
