I just came back from that places you mentioned. This is my advice.
Go into Canton (Guang Dong) thru Macau and Hong Kong. The Chinese custom officers there are better quality, and more effective.
From Macau, you can just walk over to Zhu Hai, and just outside the custom, about 200 meter walk to the right, there is a bus station that will brings you to all the places you mention.
Prices is fair, but make sure you get it from the counter. Do not get it from anyone outside the counter.
Guang Zhuo is the capital of Guang Dong. It is about 2 hours away. Nice bus ride, much better than grayhound in US.
Shandong, it is much further, and need some transfer. Train may be better. You may get a train either from GuangZhuo or Shen Zhen (which is just next to Hong Kong). Shandong is about a day journey away. North of YangZi river.
Zhejiang is just next to Shanghai, less than a day ride. Below the YangZi river.
Teochew is within the province. About 8 to 10 hrs bus ride, because the road is winding, and is not smooth. Coastal road.

all these cities are in China ~ Zhu hai & Dong Guan are in Shenzhen Province, Chao Zhou & guang zhou are in Kwong Tong province,; Shantung is in Santung Province in northern China, Zhe Jiang is in Zhe Jiang province near Shanghai, Teochew, I'm not aware.
Zhuhai, Dong Guan, Chao Zhou & Gwang Zhou are all very close to Hong Kong whereas the other 2 are much further inland

Sound like they're in China, you could try taking a plane. Or a car, depending on where you are going there from.
