EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Normally, the only people complaining about the police are those that tend to do illegal things. You get mad if one gives you a ticket, but I bet when you see someone flying down the interstate at 100 miles an hour and they almost cause you to get in an accident, you want the police then, don't you? It's a double standard. No one wants the police bothering them, but if you need their help, it's a different story.
Police have a very, very difficult job. If you think it is so easy, why don't you go try it for a year.
The main reason they do a lot of traffic is because that is a good way to find criminals. Many times, a traffic stop leads to a lot more than just a simple traffic violation.
Most of you sound VERY, VERY ungrateful. You should be thankful to have police protecting you everyday. If you don't like it, why don't you try it. I bet most of you wouldn't like the responsibility of having to protect all the citizens in your city/state. Ungrateful.

Ha Ha, Not where I live. Unless there is a dead body and that could take up to an hour for them to get there-they are not coming. Domestic assult, shooting, robbery in progress, you name it and I can tell you they are not coming. They claim they are busy and backed up-Your lucky if you get someone to answer your 911 call the first 10 times you call. And you better drive yourself to the hospital and then the next day drive down to the police station and fill out the forms they give you, in a week-fourteen days they will call you with a case number.
Beaten and left for dead, child calls police and tells them mom is not moving and boyfriend beat her up. Blood all over-Police tell 8 year old child to call a family member to take mom to the hospital. What's wrong with this picture? Can't even send an ambulance becuase they cannot enter a crime scene without police presence. Protect and Serve my A$$$$$.

All the time, everyday! People tend to forget that the police are people too! We want to hold them up to a perfect standard; when all along they already have enough on their plates. They have bills, family, taxes, the president gets on their nerves too! They might have a loved one in Iraq, or some other dangerous location! They sometimes miss church services because they worked late last night filing a report on a wife beating(the wife was doing the beating this time). I should know because I was a police officers biggest nemesis! As I've gotten older I've had police officers open doors for me, call me sir, voluntarily make way for me at times. The strange thing was that I wasn't going to jail this time! I respect and salute all American citizens who carry the weight of that badge. To me it's one of the greatest responsibilities on this planet! I'd hate to think of an America without them. -peace

definite, the canines replaced into doing his job. imagine starting the vehicle door that asserts "caution ok-9" on it without batting an eyelash? stupid human beings. A random man or woman techniques the vehicle & opens the door? of route the canines will react. does not advise the canines is "merely experienced to attack whoever". no matter if the officer agreed to provide the youngster a rid is inappropriate... straightforward experience could tell someone at the same time as some thing is a nasty idea. & this would obviously be a nasty idea to maximum persons.

Normally you do not. Police officers act as revenue collectors for the department to supplement the deficiet left from city payroll.
Cops only act on non-criminal civilian activities if there are witnesses that might complain, I have seen.
I pulled my car over to check my engine (thermostat stuck) and a cop came up to see what was wrong. He came down a gravel road (I was on interstate) which is uncharacteristic. Once he found I wsn't doing criminal activity he pretty much brushed me off. I saw that he was going to his house down the road for lunch.
On time my truck broke down I asked the cop to call tow truck service he didn't mention I said anything and had to pay an extra $60 because the police called it in even though I asked the pig to.
That's as close as I came to their "Civic Service"

A cop has a level of responsibility that is above average citizens. They need to live up to that standard or I don't want them on duty. Cops are people too, which is why I don't trust them. People make mistakes, power trip, have bad days, get pissed off, and don't use very good judgment! Do you really want somebody you don't know conspicuously carrying a firearm in public?
I never want police interference in daily activities

I have had mostly good experiences with the police. Usually because I found myself stranded in the wrong part of town. So I would have to say that I have seen it fairly often.

Let me put it this way. If you actually need them, you can find them at either Starbucks, Seattle's Best, or the local Krispy Kreme store. If you're doin' somethin' illegal, they're right there with a can of Mace and handcuffs. That's the rule of thumb.

Mostly you don't, They ask for our help in doing their jobs, And then do little, when we help
Example: I had an officer ask me to give info on a neighbor who was troubling to me and other tenants. I had no problem with this as the guy was following me around.(that's another subject) but back to point. I would call to give the officer info and he wouldn't take my calls or call back, even when this neighbor became a threat to me.
