why yes i do.

satanists don't worship the christian satan.
we (i subscribe to their ideas, but i'm not paying $200 for a card that says i'm a satanist) don't believe in god.
we believe in ourselves, in our own abilities and intellect.
when we say "hail satan" we're not talking about the christian satan, we're alluding to an idea that's inherent in the concept of satan. the road less traveled lets call it. the strength in every human being to be their own god, to answer their own prayers, to be a leader, not a sheep.
its a bit hedonistic, but it by no means frees us from morality.

one of the biggest rules is no killing. also, animals are our friends. some have an animal friend, a familiar. mine is my kitty draco.
so that crap you hear about satanists sacrificing babies and animals is just christian propaganda. we respect all life.

we also respect people. to a point though. a recurring theme in satanism is reason and logic. use your brain whenever possible. so while you must respect others, if they disrespect you, then they are no longer worthy of your consideration or respect.
turning the other cheek is looked down upon.

humility is also seen as a hindrance rather than the ideal. i know exactly what i'm good at, and i don't beat around the bush. but i also know where i am lacking. i'm honest about that too.

these are only basic tenants. every satanist is different. some have altars, some have only a candle (like me), some don't bother with that stuff. some are just atheist who are also philosophically satanist. there's a satanist bible and a church of satan, but you don't have to believe everything in the bible or be a part of the church to be a satanist. you can disagree with them. an intelligent disagreement is encouraged even.

by nature, satanism is a religion that is frightening to most people, so many satanists practice alone. its not a group activity like christianity, islam, or judaism is.

most will just say that they're atheist or something like that to avoid unwanted scrutiny since religion is a personal choice. here, online, no one knows, no one cares. which is why i'm sharing this.
lol.
have fun exploring.

The Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth

1) Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.

2) Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.

3) When in another's lair, show him respect or else do not go there.

4) If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.

5) Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.

6) Do not steal.

7) Acknowledge the power of magick if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires.

8) Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.

9) Do not harm little children.

10) Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.

11) When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.

Being Christian, I asked this question myself before; I thought that any religion glorifying Satan, would have to acknowledge G-d, who created him. So I asked a self professing satanist who based his beliefs on the satanic bible, and dreamed of the day that he would be able th go to the temple, so I would consider him fairly reliable.
He told me that they basically believe that you are responsible for everything that you have or don't have. If some wrongs you then get them back double so they won't do it again. do unto others before they do unto you. ... etc.
Unfortunately any power that Satanism has is damaging to the practitioner, even if he/she is trying to do good, because it works backwards in an attempt to affect change by interupting the flow from cause to effect by diverting the affecting forces toward the practitioner. The only true power comes through submission to the King of kings, Jesus Christ, and aknowledging His proper authority. It is He who paid the penalty that is directed at us through the submission of Adam and Eve to satan, and interrupting the proper flow. It is through the power of God working on our behalf, through the sacrifice of Christ, that we are enabled to enter the presence of God in His throne room, from which His word is sent forth unto the furthest reaches of the Universe to accomplish what it is sent to do. Thankfully, from that throne room, even WE are able to speak forth the answer to our and our loved ones' problems and bring His will into existance.

Some say it is the opposite of the bible, pretty much word for word. From what I have been able to gather, it is much simplier than that. Christianity is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," while the satanism is "Do unto others before they do unto you." True satanism is not about being anti-god or anti-christian, it's more about "looking out for number one."

It is more of an anti religion. They are humanists, beleiving in all forms of pleasure. Their movement started in San Fransico as a justification for a hatred of christians and the love of what most people would call immoral.

satanism is a religion. it worships satan. and no, they're not humanists! humanists are people like gates and hawking and me. (im in good company) we believe in the capability of men. our philosophy is man-centered, not god-centered or devil-centered for that matter.
