If you have bad credit the worst thing you need is another CC. if your credit is bad you will not get a good cc with an honest interest rate or start up fee. Best thing for you to do is build your credit back up meanwhile if its just a visa/master card you want get a bank account and ask for a visa/master card debit card. most companies accept these as a major CC only difference is it come directly out of your bank at the time of payment or shortly after.

It depends on how "poor" your credit is. If you have alot of negatives or just a few. And what kind.
If you have pretty bad credit, it's doubtful that you will be approved for a card. Probably the best you could get is a secured card.
If your scores are in the upper 500 to low 600 range, you might be approved for an Orchard Bank card, but you may have to pay a small yearly fee. Orchard, Bank of America and HSBC all have card selectors on their sites. They won't make a hard pull for the recommendation unless you actually apply for a card. Keep in mind that even if a card is recommended, you still may be denied.
If your scores are in the low 500's, I seriously doubt you would be approved for anything but a very sub prime card that has alot of fees attached.
You should try to work on your credit first. Get your credit straightened up and get prime cards.
Check out the site that I've listed. It is a "free" do it yourself credit repair board.

Prepaid MasterCard or Visa - No credit check is the best answer - but you don't want to put money on it...
So you better take a look to some finance companies wich are offering loans to people with bad credit..
