Throw the core...it will bio-degrade in a matter of hours.

I eat the core...seeds and all. The only thing I don't eat is the stem, but I usually pull that off when I wash the apple.
If I didn't eat the core, I'd throw it into a grassy patch or some mulch for the birds/bugs/ants/bees to eat. An apple is biodegradable and there are plenty of other hungry animals/insects out there who could make a whole meal from an apple core. Shame I have to be a pig and eat it most of the time. LOL

Find a garbage can for biodegradable materials. Yes, the core is biodegradable so it rots, the gases released when the core rots still causes air pollution.
And would you like to step in an apple's core, rotten or not, when walking down the street?I don't.

Inside = trash can.
Outside
in a city = I may or may not eat the core depending on my mood. If I don't feel like eating the core I will put it in a trash can.
in the country = If I don't feel like eating the core I will leave it on the ground to biodegrade. I would never do this with a wrapper or a can or any other man made trash.

DEpends on where I am. Apple cores are more valuable in the ground producing new trees than being destroyed in the garbage. But if you are in a mall or someplace where biodegradation isn't likely to take place, better toss it in the trash.

Depends on where I am. If I am in the country, I might toss it, hoping an apple tree would grow or a bird could snack on it. If I am in a residential area or city street, I would find a garbage can.

It depends on where I am. If I am out in the woods, I just throw it. Little critters will munch on it. If I am in town then I find a garbage. If I'm at home.....inside I put in garbage. Outside I throw. (I live in the woods)

Maybe if I was out in the woods I would throw the core instead of carrying it with me, but if it was rather easy to find a can it would go in it.
