Absolutely! What fun it is to spoil them! Of course, you want your sister to continue loving you, so don't let the child be too bad as he/she ages. I adore my nieces and nephews, but I also love them enough to just spoil them to "things," and always let them know how much I love their sweet behavior. We can be such a good role model and teach the child at the same time, all the while spoiling the child and letting the child know how special he/she is.

The birth of a newborn is definitely an exciting event. After you get over your excitement though, you should start thinking of ways you can help your sis. Having a child and being instrumental in their development is serious business. Your help will be very much appreciated...but you must be mature and positive in your actions. You may want to shower her/him with any and everything you can think of and possibly let her/him do whatever he/she want. Here you have to be careful and use good judgment.
I don't recommend spoiling a child in this manner. This can results in grave complications that may be detrimental to the child's upbringing and stability. What you can do as an aunt is give her your time and attention, be mature and loving and assist your sis in giving her/him a good solid foundation surrounded by love, tenderness and good common sense.

Congratulations! Love your excitement about loving your niece or nephew. I have a lot of both and lots of great nieces and nephews and I love them all so much! I'm proud to be an Uncle and a Great Uncle and they love me too! Yes I always have spoiled them because they deserve the best!

I spoil my niece so much. It's such a great feeling. She is such a little brat but, I can't help it. I'm too young to have a child and live responsibly, but i want children so much. So, Mines well have fun with one that calls me an aunt.

That small bundle of joy that will light up your life .

Go ahead, make all the plans to usher in the new kid. Be excited.
You deserve it. And spoilt him/her rotten? That shows our true feelings of expecting an addition to the family, an addition to your daily(dull?)life, an addition to share & enjoy (& boast)with your friends.

GO AHEAD. all the best.

Oh yes, I spoil my four-year-old nephew. But we also have our share of fights(!), and sulkings. And I make him jealous with the goodies I have- like Spidey pencil box, more books than him, and the fact that I can drive and he can't! :-)
