Exact scenario.
3 smaller meals a day
Taking sleeping pills to sleep through the day. No fatty foods just lean protein shakes lets say. You can even throw some L-glutamine in the mix to keep your muscle mass a little more active. Would I lose more weight than if I was in the gym? Lets say A middle weight work-out regimin with 10-12 rep sets... 16 sets 3 times a week.

Yeah. Staying in bed all day is a great way to loose weight. The problem is, it takes a while.

At first you'll find yourself getting fat and greasy with lots of pock marks and bed sores. But over time, when your health really goes down hill, you'll start loosing weight fast. Eventually, but probably not until years after your premature death, you'll be light as a feather attached to some dried out skin and hollow bones.

Eating a lot of ice cream and soda while staying in bed all day is probably the best way to lose weight if you ask me.

Are you talking about fat or muscle?

Satying in bed (depending on what you eat while you're there) you would put on fat because all that energy from food is not going anywhere. Excercising would increase muscle tone which weighs more than fat, but you would be healthier.

You burn calories by moving (working out). So no you would not lose weight by staying in bed on the contrary you will gain!

you might lose weight in bed but your muscles would begin to shrink and youd break out in bed sores not to mention that lying down all day can cause severe head neck and backaches.
