Don't let your daughter push you, but she is right, don't just go around all let down. Your wife would have wanted you to be happy, realize if you re-marry that you have to focus on your new wife, but you will always hold a special place in your heart for your lost wife who cannot be replaced. I wish you the best.

If you are all going to stay in one home, then you have to think. Will your second wife look after you mother and daughter properly? If your second wife already have some kids, will those kids accept you and your daughter? Ask yourself such questions and then come to a conclusion.

Nothing wrong in getting married again.
Also that nothing wrong in staying single.
ONLY if you feel getting married and find a good match go for it.
If your daughter insists, then kiss her and tell that you still have the hang of her mother. Your daughter will feel nice.

If it's true your wife is dead, be comforted in the lord, now anyone
who's partner has died according to the Bible(1 corithians 7:8-9,15) is a free moral being to marry, but not when the other partner is still alive.

Marriage is "Til Death do us Part" it doesnt mean you're destined to be alone for the rest of your life. Dont get married again because it's what someone else wants you to do or thinks you should do...if YOU don't want to get married again but you do anyway...it sure makes for a rough married life (if not a short one).

If you have a special someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with, go ahead. My mom has married three times already. She was first married to my dad for 24 years. Married again for four years to my step dad who died of a stroke. She says she'll never forget him. She recently married again a year ago. And both her new husband and her take flowers to my late step dad and he respects his memory.

Who is your daughter to tell you to get married? You are the parent, she is the child. If you have accepted the loss of your wife and are emotionally ready to move on, then it's fine to start dating again. It would not be fair for your partner if you were not able to give 100% emotionally.

Mahen,
Do not marry for any other reason but love. Not sex, not loneliness, not even money. First get to know yourself, and then get to know your potential partner. The rest will come in time, if you do not rush it.
