Pentecostal/Fundamentalist Christians have said to me that the reason my paralysed arm is not healed is because I lack faith and I still have unresolved sin. I haven't seen anyone miracuosly healed from paralysis ever, nor have I seen a limb grow back. Hindus and Buddhists have said that I have a disability because of bad karma, in this life and past lives... what the hell can I do about something that happened in a past life? Furthermore, i'm not evil, I try to be compassionate and loving to others, and I contribute and work for charity. Islam seems to have some pretty weird ideas about fate as well, but i would be interested to hear an Islamic perspective. Any perspective at all, religous, spiritual or atheist.

As a Jew, I'm somewhat perplexed by the christian perspective as you presented it. We believe that G-d has a purpose for what He does, and if someone is suffering that doesn't mean they lack faith. After all, job suffered intensely precisely because he had so much faith. So, sorry to hear about your plight. I hope things get better.

As a Christian, I can tell you your paralysis isn't from lack of faith or unresolved sin or bad karma or anything like that. The reason you have a paralyzed arm is entirely physical, whether you were born this way or there was an accident or whatever, it's a consequence of living in a physical world governed by cause-and-effect. Yet God does not allow anything to happen that we cannot overcome, and he can turn any evil situation into good. This does not mean that you will be physically healed, but only God knows what he has in store for you.

I am Pentecostal and I don't know what they are talking about. I believe some people are not healed because it is not in Gods will. There was a woman who had cancer and didn't get healed, but seeing her accept it and still praise God was a testimony in itself. Be happy with what God has given you (life). Keep seeking the healing. People can't understand the ways of the Lord so they like to make excuses. Don't listen to people who speak negative. Surround yourself with people who will build you up.

You seem to have been exposed to those that have been exposed to bad teaching. Most Christians will understand you have a disability. I have to use a cane myself and have very seldom had an issue with anyone. I have ran into those you talk about as well. My answer is God loves you even if you can't show His. That usually stops the problem there

Pure chance man. Nobody believes in chance. They all want meaning to everything. I'm starting a new religion based purely on odds and probability. No meaning for anything that happens in this world. No karma or master plan. It's just too hard to accept, I know.

Don't worry about what people say to you. No matter how much they act like it, they don't know you and your heart. From my semi-religious/agnostic perspective, disabilities are simply things some people get. No sin or karma about it. As long as you overcome it, and don't let it ruin your life, it'll make you stronger.

don't let them pity you. they only want you to feel sorry for yourself which doesn't solve anything.

as long as you live the life you want to live, you're fine. you might not be able to do some sh!t, (no one's perfect), but that doesn't mean you have to dwell on it for the rest of your life.
don't feel bad about who you are or what your body looks like, in the end, they'll be hoping they go to heaven or something of that sort because their life on earth sucked so much, but you'll be ok with dying.
