When you say straighten or curl do you mean chemically!

If you are using a peroxide based product of more than 10 volume I would suggest waiting approximately 2 weeks before using other chemicals on your hair such as colour or perming. If you want to iron your hair you can do it right away. If you are using a henna or vegetable dye I would say wait a week before treating it chemically. Just remember red is the easiest colour to get but the hardest to maintain. It fades faster than any other colour. The brighter the red the faster it seems to fade.

i think its best to wait at least a day or so til you straighten you hair (with iron) becuase the heat does make the dye fade. but the dye sticks to you quick so do it the next day if necessary. DONT use the highest setting if you have one of the ceramic straighteners or those professional ones because those are too hot and the hair will look all wierd because of the reaction with the dye.
heat protectant is a must for straightening hair, whether its dyed or not. i recommend the shapoo for dyed hair too

*curious*

Chemically straighten or curl, you need to wait at least 2 weeks..

If you mean with irons, yes, you can use them once you dye our hair. It will not harm the color, or do more damage, besides normal heat damage..

I've chemically straightened and highlighted my hair at the same time. I had it done at a salon though. Also, I couldn't wash it for like 3 days afterwards.

well first off be very careful if your using punky colors cuz it will stain your skin...use cream and you dont need to wait but you might wanna definetly use a heat protectant or leave in conditioner so that you dont fry your hair or fade the color....

you should be able to style it as usual immediately. the only thing you have to wait on is if you plan on doing any more chemical processing, you need to give your hair about 2 weeks first
