kids get in a sleep cycle really easily. once she wakes up one night at a certain time, she is more likely to keep waking up at that time. it works for adults the same way, pretty often! now she is probably used to waking up and going to your bed.
there are some good books about sleep cycles and sleep training and good info on websites, too, if you want to try to get her through it w/o having her come get into your bed.
good luck!

I remember being 3 and doing this with my mother. Granted, it was a long while ago, but it is clear as day in my mind. It was not soon after my parents divorced, and I remember that I would wake up during the night, go in, bring my "blanky," and sort of cuddle up next to her. I was kind of lonely, but more importantly, I knew that she was even more so. I needed comfort and she needed the same in return.

You'll have to ask your daughter why she keeps waking up and getting into bed with you. Maybe she's been having bad dreams; maybe she hears noises outside her window, if she has windows in her room; maybe she's lonely and misses you; there are thousands of reasons. What your question should be is, how to get her back to bed so you can get some sleep.

Nightmares, fear of the dark, a need to be near her mother, all of the above. It's perfectly normal for a three year old to do that. If it's a big concern, then talk to her pediatrician.

kids get night frights. it's something to do with their sleep pattern, rather than them really being afraid of something.
comfort her and put her back to bed as soon as she's calm. it can become a habit for her to sleep in your bed, which is not good for anyone's sanity!
if you have to leave a nightlight on, get a red-light. nocturnal animals can't see red lights - it's healthier for a kid's sleepy eyes I've heard.
if it continues, talk to your GP about it as it could develop into a sleeping disorder (such as insomnia).

maybe there's something going on... is there anyone in the house who would mess with her? Don't mean to be perverted, but it could be a reason. Good luck.
