This is the second day my cat has been experiencing a hacking cough.

Sometimes it almost sounds like a really labored hiccup. I put vaseline on her paw and everything to try and loosen what I thought was a hairball...still issues.

She's like wheezing when she breathes, and I'm pretty positive it's not asthma because when she goes to throw up something, she'll swallow it again and again.

It's killing me I feel so bad for her. Anybody know what's happenin to my baby??

I would get her to a vet asap. I have a cat who was fine for four years, and then one summer developed asthma just like that. It could be worms, also. Asthma can kill quickly; my cat got sick one day, and was near death when I got him to the vet the next day. Better safe than sorry, so take her and get her checked out.

Get her checked by a vet it could be an upper respiratory infection, allergies, hairballs(vaseline is not a good way to get rid of hairballs, it only causes diarrhea)or even an obstruction of the upper airway. Peace of mind is only an office visit away.

It could be many things has your cat been wormed recently or have you tried about two and a half mls (half a teaspoon) of olive oil down her throat sounds nasty but if it is furballs will fix it. If she is wheezing it could be she has the snuffles or cat flu has she been vaccinated for these

I have a cat that coughs and weezes and throws up. She has allergies and I have to give her medicine. But call and make an appointment and have her checked out. Just to make sure that it isn't an infection or cancer or anything else.

Doesn't sound like a hairball. I think you need a vet.

Go to the vet. It might be a blockage in the airway, (read cancer). I don't want to scare you, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Especially if it needs early detection if it's going to be cured.

Yes 2 things...She either has a bad case of worms...Yes they can throw-up worms or she has kennel cough... either way you have to take her to the vet A.S.A.P. She needs help...

give her a wormer...not one from over the counter go to your vet or visit fosterandsmith.com , it is a very nice pet supply-medication needs etc. store. make sure it is for felines....if that doesnt work, take her to the vet.

I wouldn't try and self-diagnose my pet's problem. I'd take it to the local vet if I were you.
