The Mormons specifically state that they believe in the Bible "AS FAR AS IT IS TRANSLATED CORRECTLY"!! Convenient, huh? Like where the Bible says that it is the word of God and that there are to be no more additions (like the Book of Mormon?). Oh, that's simply "incorrect". How convenient. And how about the Commandments, like the one about there being only ONE God? Mormon theology holds the door open for ANY good Mormon MAN to be a God, along with all of the other 'Gods' that used to be men already out there! Brigham Young stated that; "No one will ever enter heaven unless they believe in and have the consent of Joseph Smith." (Journal of Discourses). The Bible says to believe in Jesus. So who you gonna call?

Huh, I think it's pretty 'convenient' for the new testament to ignore parts of the old testament that don't fit into the new concept.

Fact is, the Bible as it exists today has been translated, re-translated, re-written and re-re written HUNDREDS of times. Religious scholars have found multiple versions of the new testament written hundreds of years ago with many different parts, stories and revisions. Some copies have the tale of Jesus protecting the prostitute being stoned, others DONT have that part and are JUST as authentic. The choice of which Bible version to follow and believe in was arbitrary on the part of the church. Study up, and learn.

They are not Christian. I personally think they are a cult. I've read the book of mormon even was baptised by them in my early 20's. That was when I was lost and they had all the right answers for me at that time. Stayed with it for 3 months before I realized something was not right with them. My mom later said I had "that glow." I think she meant that cult glassy eyed look. They immediately tried to hook me up with a nice mormon boy and I had to go to the singles ward so I could find one. They are definitely very strange and have some very outlandish beliefs.

They can believe in the Bible and not be Christian. Christianity is defined by

Belief in the Triune God

Belief in the Divinity of Christ

Belief in the Death and Resurrection of Christ

Belief in the Pauline revelation(that Jesus went from the cross to Hell and took the keys of Death and Hades from Satan and then rose on the 3rd day)

They aren't Christians.

Mormons do not believe that Jesus Christ is the ONE true God and the only way to salvation. They think that when they get to heaven they all become gods (so Jesus isn't the only one) and all kinds of freaky sh!t. Yeah they tell people they are Christians just to win converts and then later on they begin to reveal their true beliefs.

The bible and the book of mormon are both great story books. Why are you wound up about it? And if you don't believe in their way of living, how does that effect you? Man, I don't believe in any religions, and I'm ok!

Just relax!

Since faith is by definition "unfounded belief", arguments about who is right are pointless.

Wouldn't it be better to just follow your own belief and let others follow theirs?

If there is an answer after death that should be enough to satify anyone. To insist on an answer before death is a sign of doubt.

What gives us the right to judge whether other people are Christians or not? Jesus told us not to judge others. Leave it for God to decide.

It's all labels. Why focus on the differences instead of the good similarities? You need to define "Christian" before you label. I smell a good question.
