i've always been scared of needles since i was like 3. yesterday i went to the doctors and got 3, including the TB shot. I truely don't know what to say about getting over your fear, because i'm still trying to get over mine, but I do know that deep breathing has helped me a lot to calm down before i get them.

the TB shot is probably the least painful shot that i have ever gotten. it is a little pinch and that's it. also, it sometimes helps to be squeezing somthing. so like one of those stress balls could work, or someone's hand. good luck with everything, and if nothing works, just think about what could happen if you don't get the shots. you'll find that getting the shot is much better then not getting it.

TB isn't a shot it's a test. They go under the skin and a few days later you have it check to see if you have the TB virus in your system.

Hurts a little. Not much.

Don't think about it. Take some Tylenol just before you leave.

Well it is a pinch but while you are getting the shot just think of all those TB wards we had less than 100 years ago where so many people died from it their bodies were dropped down a special chute. That usually works for me for any shot. LOL

you have to kind of psych yourself out. or focus on something else.
TB test hurt....not really. Depends on who does it. if they know that it is barely under the skin.
As long as you know it is a TB shot too, it is tuberculosis that is.
There is also a TD shot which stands for tetnus and deptheria.
Focus on something else is the best bet look at one thing and just take in everything about it don't even listen to your own breathing.

Not as much as getting TB

It doesn't hurt as much at tuberculosis does... Just remember, it's a very short pain. The worst you struggle, the worst it is. Look the other way, get high, do something... But it's worth having.
