appreciate me. last summer i was going out with other people while i kept her waiting for me to realize that what i was doing wasn't good for me and that i wanted someone like her to settle down with. now she is needing the time to realize the same things that i did and learn from her mistakes for herself. i dont know what to do and any help would be appreciated.

Oh for crying out loud. Go out and have and good time and stop waiting on her. Sounds like a case of "the grass is always greener." If she were calling you up every 10 minutes and being all clingy you'd be wanting your space again.

Go get a hobby.

OMG... this is the coward's excuse to breaking up. she has the best of both worlds--flirtations with other men as well as a steady who's there as a back up.

"broken up to give her time to appreciate me?" how can she appreciate you when you're not together? or if she's seeing other men? if she appreciated you, would she have broken up with you?

it is the oldest, most cowardly trick in the book of relationships--I'm leaving to have time alone to think about us...blah, blah, blah. You don't work on a relationship by breaking up. You work on having separate lives by breaking up.

Believe it or not this story is as old as time. It's even been studied and documented as a pattern of how people uncouple. Move on, honey.
