Not the point. The point of the show was the chase, the capturing of the unobtainable. Rather a very good metaphor for just going after your dreams. That and it fills the day, think about it, Wil E. Coyote eats just fine because he's lean but never starving in the show so outsmarting his nemesis is one of the better things he can do. Any idiot can buy a bird and eat it but a true genius should be able to make it run into a painted wall and eat the leftovers

good question yet i think he hated the line runner lots he wanted to consume him as a replace.possibly they have been friends previously and Wiley E. Coyote have been given mad at him for some reason and needs revenge now.yet in spite of everything if he merely skipped over the line runner it does not be humorous might it?
