I dated her for a little over 2 years, we both believed we were in love, but had to seperate due to location. It has been over a year now since our relationship, we still talk, but I haven't seen her in months. I do not want to give her up, but I don't know what to do.

Let me say that, although I haven't been dating long, Distance is a problem. I live 200 miles away from my girlfriend but yet I'm going to try hard to keep us together. Make plans to see each other occasionally so you two can catch up on things past. It's a great idea, and i was able to get my girlfriend down here for the 4th of July. She wants to come back again for next year because she just loved being with me. If you don't want to give her up, then don't give up on yourself. Be strong of who you are, and find ways to get to see her. Believe me, I'm only 17 and she and I both said that we would find ways and time to see each other, no matter how hard it is to get to see one another.

how does she feel about all of this? does she not want to give you up either? if so, you could probably work it out. my point is, nothing in a relationship can happen unless both partners are on the same page. the best option is to stay in the present and stay real versus reflecting on what the last two years have brought you both. additionally, since your title seems to imply your getting over her, ("what is the best way to get over a girl?") i could not possibly tell you exactly since i don't know you well enough, but i can say that being yourself and doing what YOU want to do is a key choice to getting started...this is also referred to as the single life!! :) good luck!

I had a three-year long distance relationship when I was in my late teens after dating a girl for a year. Everyone told me to move on when her family moved. I couldn't do but should have. It was more painful when we broke up and took longer to get over it. When your young and apart you change individually instead of together.
The best way to get over her is to start dating again.

Find a new girl, or get back with her and keep her. Why does your location have anything to do with the 2 of you as a couple?

The best way to get over a girl, if its just impossible to make it work, is to put yourself in a situation where you will find someone else.
Do not stop talking to them, and do not get rid of their contact information. I'm personally on the hunt for a girl I used to know but got rid of her contact information. It was stupid of me.

Oh, pity man,if u want to get over the girl u must stop to talk with her ,and find a another one better than her ,it is easy ,and also difficult,but u must make up your mind ,otherwise u will be hurt deeply.
