i get that people don't have insurance but there are questions about serious medical symptoms. and i don't understand the possibly serious questions about pregnancy and children. i would think you would want to protect them regardless of the cost.

Hopefully if it's serious they go to a doctor. I think they either don't have insurance and cannot afford a doctor. Or they are scared of doctors and hospitals. I have wondered too about that. Some of the questions are serious. Kind of scary huh?

Well, some people don't have insurance (like myself), so a visit to a doctor is expensive. We hope to maybe find another remedy through other people's experiences. This is all assuming that the problem is something minor that may not require a doctors visit. Of course, a person would know if it's serious to warrant a donctor visit.

There can be many reasons.

Some are afraid they will look stupid if it turns out what is happening is something simple. Others can not afford medical care and hope it is something simple that they can deal with themselves. Sometimes it is in the middle of the night for them and emergency rooms are expensive.

Other things that can factor in this are people from countries who do not have good health care available as countries like the US, Canada, etc. There can be other reasons too.

Just give them the benefit of the doubt and if the problem sounds serious, urge them to get help as fast as they can.

people unlike you, some people find it more comfortable to be anonymous and ask people they don't know rather than ask your doctor at first. Plus it's cheaper
